IP Infringement Policy
Effective 30 May 2026· Version 1.0
Imprezzle Express prints documents supplied by our customers. We respect intellectual property rights and we expect our customers to as well. This policy explains how rightsholders can submit a notice of infringement and how we respond.
1. Our position
By uploading a file, a customer warrants in our Terms of Service that they own the rights to reproduce that file or are otherwise licensed to do so. We do not review the substantive content of customer files in advance — automated checks screen for malware and structural integrity, not authorship.
That said, if you are a rightsholder (or their authorised agent) and you believe content printed or being printed through our service infringes your rights, you can ask us to stop. We will act on properly-submitted notices.
2. How to submit a notice
Send a written notice to ip@imprezzle.com. Your notice must include all of the following:
- Your identification. Full legal name, postal address, phone number, and email. If you are an agent, identify the rightsholder you represent and your authority to act on their behalf.
- The work you claim is infringed. Describe the copyrighted work, trademark, or other right. Registration numbers, URLs of authoritative sources, or copies of the work help us evaluate the claim quickly.
- The infringing material.Enough information for us to locate the specific order, file, or listing on our service. An order reference, the recipient's phone number, or the upload timestamp is ideal. We cannot act on vague claims (“someone in Ibadan is printing my book”).
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use is not authorised by the rightsholder, its agent, or the law.
- An accuracy statementthat the information in your notice is accurate, and that under penalty of perjury you are the rightsholder or authorised to act on the rightsholder's behalf.
- Your signature (physical or electronic).
3. What happens after we receive a notice
- We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
- If the notice is complete and credible, and the order is still in our system, we will halt fulfilment, hold or destroy the printed output that has not yet been dispatched, and delete the underlying file ahead of its normal retention schedule.
- We will notify the customer who placed the order that an infringement notice has been filed against their content, share enough of your notice for them to respond, and suspend related orders pending resolution.
- If the order has already been delivered, the most we can do is delete any retained file and information about the order, halt repeat orders of the same file, and (where policy and law allow) share the relevant order details with you under a properly served legal process.
4. Counter-notices
If you are the customer and you believe a notice against your file was a mistake or misidentification, you can submit a counter-notice to the same address. Include:
- your name, postal address, phone number, and email;
- identification of the order or file that was suspended;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was suspended as a result of mistake or misidentification; and
- your signature.
We will forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. If they do not pursue the matter (e.g. by providing evidence of an ongoing legal action) within 10 business days, we may restore the customer's ability to place related orders. We do not, however, “un-cancel” an order whose file has already been deleted — you would need to re-upload.
5. Repeat infringers
Customers who are the subject of repeated, credible infringement notices may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated, and may be banned from placing future orders, with or without prior warning.
6. Misuse of this process
Submitting a notice that materially misrepresents that content is infringing, or that you are entitled to act on a rightsholder's behalf, may expose you to liability under Nigerian law. Notices that appear designed to harass competitors or chill legitimate use will be rejected and may be reported.
